Using Busker at school.
Are you a music teacher that gives keyboard, guitar or recorder lessons?
With a school licence you can give a copy of Busker to your students to install at home. Let them practice their instrument while Busker shows both the instrument fingering and the score on screen. With or without sound from the song.
If students want to play a particular song in C, they (or you) can enter the song from sheet music and then transpose it to C. The students can use either the printed score or watch the instrument fingering in Busker.
Are you a music teacher in e.g. a high school?
With a school licence you can install Busker on the PC's in your school. Here are a few assignment examples for the music lessons:
Give the sheetmusic for a song (melody and chords) and let the students enter this song in Busker. Let them choose a style and multivoice and create a midifile.
Give the sheetmusic for a song (melody only) and let the students enter the song in Busker. While the song is played continuously in a loop (check the loop box between the play and style button), they must find out which chords go well with this song by playing the function key chords. Press the "Chords in this key" button when the song is playing to assign the most likely chords to the function keys. When the correct chords are found they can attach the chords in Busker at the corresponding notes. Then add a style, play the song and print the score.
Give a mp3 file to the students with a simple tune. They must enter the score for this tune in a trial and error method.
Give a completed Busker song with chords and melody. While the song is played continuously in a loop (check the loop box between the play and style button), and the melody is turned off (right click on the melody volume), the students must try to play the melody using the PC keys (following the PC keys that are highlighted on screen).
Give a midifile created from a Busker song. The students must add an extra track with a melodic instrument. This is done in the sequencer window. They can use the PC keys to record live or use the pianoroll view to edit notes.
